About the event
Everyone is welcome to come watch the Earth cast its shadow onto the Full Moon. Thursday Aug. 27th 2026.
The geometry of the Sun, Earth and full moon is noteworthy.
In this grand experiment, we invite everyone in attendance to allow the eclipse to provide the arc of the evening. All we do is simply stay attuned to the circle and when we FEEL the rhythm changing, we RESPOND rather than forcing it.
The flow of the evening:
6-7:30pm. We GATHER and start with a shared SIMPLE, SPACIOUS, pulse. Lots of space. Take our time. Gradually the individual rhythms emerge. The intention is simply "We are Here, Now."
7:30-9PM. As the Moon increasingly enters Earth's shadow, we DEEPEN and allow the rhythm to become more complex, not faster, just thicker with layers, poly-rhythms, and percussive textures. We are self-organizing and establishing the conditions to discover the group rhythm.
